Reproductive resilienceSexual and reproductive resilience of adolescents in East and West Africa Over half of the world’s population is under 25. Children and adolescents hold the key to our future yet many of them must overcome numerous challenges to lead healthy lives. One crucial concern is sexual and reproductive health: Adolescent pregnancy, for example, exposes young women to medical, social and economic risks. This research project looks at female and male adolescents in Ghana and Tanzania, in an effort to understand how they handle reproductive health challenges and to identify ways of fostering supportive environments that contribute to building adolescents’ sexual and reproductive resilience.
